Arpad waited

"The hysterical vampiress made her way to Oren's tent. She nearly knocked on the tent door before she realized it was not that kind of door. She would have giggled at herself had it been a different situation. She did not want to barge in, so instead she decided to shake the tent as she proceeded to scream incoherently.

Oren could sleep through many things, but when his tent started shaking and screaming, it managed to catch his attention. Still only half conscious, he poked his head through the opening flap and tried to see what was going on, eyes still bleary.

Expecting a call back over a visitation, Arpad continued to shake the tent.

Between his sleepy eyes and the fact that Arpad was over to the side of the tent instead of directly in front of him, it took him a moment to see her. "Uh, Arpad? What are you doing?" he asked mildly.

Hearing Oren's voice, she stopped and squealed, "XAPHAN! BIRD! I DON'T KNOW!"

He just blinked at her for a moment. "I'm still asleep, aren't I..."

By "asleep," Arpad took that as not quite fully conscious. She could see that she woke him up, so she said, "I guess you are..."

"Huh." He paused, then returned his head into his tent.

Expecting that to mean that Oren popped his head back in to open the tent and exit, Arpad waited.

Since he'd crawled back into his bedroll, figuring it would at least alter this very strange dream, it was a long wait."
